How to: Run slide show in PowerPoint.
Solution:
Select the 'View' menu and select 'Slide Show...', select the slides to show, and select the slide advance method.
1) Open the desired presentation.
2) Select the 'View' menu and select 'Slide Show...'. (The 'Slide Show' dialog box appears.)

3) (Optional) Do one of the following to select the slides to show:
a) To include all of the slides in the presentation in the slide show, select the 'All' radio button in the 'Slides' group.
b) To include a specified number of slides in the slide show:
1] Select the 'From' radio button in the 'Slides' group.
2] Type the first slide number to include in the 'From' box.
3] Type the last slide number to include in the 'To' box.
4) (Optional) Do one of the following to advance slides:
a) Select the 'Manual Advance' radio button, to use a mouse click to advance each slide.
b) Select the 'Use Slide Timings' radio button, to use the slide transition timings already set for that presentation.
NOTE: If the 'Use Slide Timings' radio button was selected in step 4)b), the slide show will advance ON ITS OWN, according to the timings set.
c) Select the 'Rehearse New Timings' radio button, to test new timings.
5) (Optional) Select the 'Loop Continuously Until Esc' check box, to restart the presentation at the beginning every time it reaches the end, until ESC is pressed.
NOTE 1: If 'Loop Continuously Until 'Esc'' is NOT checked, then after the last slide in the presentation, PowerPoint ends the slide show and returns to the previous view.
NOTE 2: If 'Loop Continuously Until 'Esc'' IS checked, then after the last slide in the presentation, the presentation repeats. In this case, press ESC to end the slide show and return to the previous view.

6) Click 'Show'. (The first slide in the presentation is displayed.)
